My mum was very proud, though she couldn’t make it there to see it. It now means I would need to qualify for Scotland again, and that’s tough, cos I moved to Canada. So it looks like my international career could be over.

I do know that Serbia and Lithuania are looking for players. And I looked into whether I could play for Ukraine – where they are cricket crazy – based on being Ukrainian in a previous life – though it wasn’t Ukraine then, it was under a different banner.

Once you get that taste of international cricket, you want more.
